What do Sammy Davis, Jr. Bob Hope, Eleanor Powell, Carol Channing, Bobby Darin, George Burns, Carol Burnett, Jerry Stiller, and Diane Ladd all have in common? They all performed with MAYBIN HEWES! Still Struttin’ takes us back to the golden age of Television, when we all loved to be entertained.
Maybin Hewes was born on Bourbon Street but grew up in the midst of New York City’s nightlife. Broadway, television and nightclubs were Maybin’s domain.
Maybin delivers the great standards along with her piano accompanist Ron Rose and drummer Billy Paul. “I’ve Got Rhythm” “I Love a Piano” “New Orleans” and “Times Like These” are just some of the memorable tunes she sings and dances. Get ready for a real high-energy show. Maybin Hewes may be 78 but she still struts her stuff, tap shoes, high kicks and all.

A PRAYER FOR MY DAUGHTER BY THOMAS BABE
(First played at Joseph Papp's Public Theater in New York 1978)

Dark, gritty, crime drama
about 2 corrupt detectives
interrogating
2 murder suspects...

Its bizarre, poetic quality and edgy dialogue make this a play to remember.  Almost all the characters display both their masculine and feminine sides as part of a game of manipulation as someone is going down for murder and no one is leaving the precinct.  Not even Detective Kelly, who's daughter may be on the verge of suicide.
